The first annual Kevin Durant MLK Classic was this past weekend and it was an action packed two day event at the St. James. I attended the event on Saturday while Adam Ayalew checked in on Monday. Below are five standouts from the MD/DC area that stood out.

2020 6'6 Isaac James | New Hope

The unsigned senior finished with an impressive stat line of 17 points and 18 rebounds. James finished well around the basket and chipped in four blocks on the defensive end. One thing that James has always been good at is his passing ability and getting teammates involved and that was fully on display Saturday, especially in transition.

2020 5’10 Delonnie Hunt | Rock Creek

Hunt is another unsigned senior that is one of the best playmakers in the area and always seems to have an impactful performance. Against a talented Norcross team, he finished with 19 points and was the spark on offense by either scoring the ball or setting up teammates which ultimately kept them in the game until the final horn.

2021 6'1 Eric Morgan | Woodrow Wilson
