This third place match up in the gold bracket took two of the best teams in Texas into overtime. Morton Ranch Mavericks fell to Beaumont United 55-63. With no further ado here are the top prospects from the closing games.

Tyrese Baker is a big 6-6 forward with point guard skills. He dishes passes and sees the court well. Baker’s high IQ will help him excel wherever he goes next. His physical frame makes him a true plug and play prospect.

LJ Cryer deserves the title of the best scorer in all of Texas basketball. The 41 points he put up against Beaumont looked effortless. Cryer is going to excel at Baylor next year.

Anthony Ngwu is a big body that flies around on the court. The 6-6 forward keeps his head on a swivel constantly looking to put a body on someone before going for a rebound. Ngwu’s motor ran for every minute he was on the court.
