Here were some of the senior standouts:
Jabari Walker PF 6’7 AZ Compass Prep
-Walker has a nice stroke from the 3pt line and is becoming more and more polished plus rebounds the ball like a man possessed. He has great hands to catch passes and to corral balls out of his area. His motor is always revved up and he was picking up MarJon Beauchamp and Alex Tchickou to show his defensive versatility.
Seryee Lewis PF 6’8 AZ Compass Prep
-A tough and gritty rebounder who scores it inside. He is a rugged player with a strong upper body. He has quick bounce and powers through contact. He seems like one of those players who can play in any conference.
Dre Henry PF 6’7 Phhoenix Prep
-The heart and soul of the team is a warrior that would run though a wall to win a game. He is tough inside battling with anyone and rebounds the ball at a high level. He has strong hands and catches anything. It is truly amazing how far he has come from a football standout to a top-notch hooper.
Eduardo Andre C 6’9 AZ Compass Prep
-Transferred in from Wilson, TX and is originally from London, England. He is very long and athletic to rebound the ball and alter or block shots. He didn’t get too many chances to score the ball but moves swiftly up the court. Looks to be a nice addition up front.
Brandon Talbot CG/SG 6’4 Dream City Christian
-A very good catch 3pt shooter. He is smooth with the ball and is a better ball handler under pressure than most realize. He is a good passer and sneaky athletic to throw it down. He can play on or off the ball.
Peter Filipovity SF 6’6 Bella Vista Prep
-An active wing player can shoot it from the 3pt line and get to the lane with a nice handle. He rebounds the ball really well for a wing and is tough to stop inside. His ability to create shots for himself sets him apart of many.
Logan Phillips SF 6’7 Valley Christian
-One of the more versatile forwards in the state. Handles it like a guard and can shoot it with range with the best of them. With his height he can get into the lane and score over any size. He is a good passer and uses the floater well. He is the odds on favorite for POY in 3A.
Jackson Risi SG 6’1 Valley Christian
-Big time shooter off the catch with deep range. He is sneaky athletic to get into the lane and finish. One of the quickest releases in the state.
Jerry Iliya F 6’5 Paradise Honors
-Strong athletic defender who can fly on the break. He defends the 3-5 well in HS and has a good motor to rebound the ball. Scores it in the post with his strength and can still grow his game with his perimeter shooting and handle.
Ori Keedem SG 6’3 Shadow Mountain
-Lefty scorer has a good feel for the game. He can shoot it from the 3pt line and shoot it from mid-range. He can drive the lane and finish in traffic and is very crafty.
