Here were some of the junior standouts:
Alex Tchikou PF 6’11 Dream City Christian
-A big time talent. Legit height and skilled. Has easy bounce to throw it down. Mostly a catch 3pt shooter but can take very few strides to get into the lane and throw it down. Can improve handle in traffic but runs the floor like a deer.
Ty Ty Washington Jr PG 6’4 AZ Compass Prep
-Highly skilled scoring PG. He always seems to make the correct play. Whether that is pulling up off the dribble or driving the lane and kicking it to a shooter. The game is very easy for him and is always poised and controlled. His deep stroke is pure and takes contact well to score it inside. He has very strong hands to rip his opponents pockets and make them uncomfortable.
Ky Oliver SF 6’4 Phhoenix Prep
-A freak athlete who keeps making strides with his shooting. A true elite athlete who grabs rebounds in and out of his area with his jumping. He defends the 2-4 well and is a highlight reel on the break. He will still need to improve his handle in tight quarters but can get downhill to score it. His offensive and defensive rebounding are next level.
Jalen Scott PG 6’3 Paradise Honors
-Top passing PG in the AIA from his class. Makes many next level passes but he took this game over with his skill. Made three 3’s plus a pull-up from mid-range. He also drove the lane and scored it. He’s always giving high effort on defense getting deflection and steals plus rebounds well for a PG.
Ricardo Sarmiento PG 5’10 Phhoenix Prep
-Tough hard-nosed defender really competes on every possession. He came in off the bench and really made things difficult for the opposing guards. He can hit the catch 3 plus pull-up from mid-range. He makes smart reads to teammates to set them up for easy scores.
