Loogootee beats Barr-Reeve
The mighty Barr-Reeve took their first loss last night as they were upset by a good Loogootee team, 53-48. The Vikings were on an impressive 12-win streak before falling to the Lions. The top scorers for the Lions were 2023 SG Peyton Bledsoe (15) and 2021 PG Jordan Wildman (15). Barr-Reeve will look to bounce back when they face Wood Memorial next Friday.
Keon Thompson drops 34
2021 PG Keon Thompson went off last night as he dropped 34 points in a win versus Crown Point, 54-48. The best part of Thompson’s game is his ability to break a defender down off the bounce. Merrillville will move onto the 5-7 in the season while Crown Points drops to 6-6. It will be interesting to see if Thompson can get his team back on track and secure some more wins. The Pirates take on Munster tonight.
Championship set for Marion County Tourney
In a Tournament that has been going on since Tuesday, we finally have a championship set for the Marion County Tournament. If you are in the Southport area, you have a chance to see a 4A clash between Lawrence North and Lawrence Central. North is currently undefeated while Central has only lost one. In their last meeting, North won by only 10 so this should be another close one. Expect exciting players like D’Andre Davis and Tony Perkins to show-out.
