Dalton Colbert (Chester County)
Wonderful, young scorer. Groomed as a fantastic outside shooter, Dalton’s game is evolving to include slashing and running a team. Dalton really makes teams pay for fouling him as he shoots 80.0% from the line.
J.J. Platt (Webb Bell Buckle)
Bizarre leaping ability. Brave in the air. Contorts his body and holds the basketball longer than most, forcing desperate defenders to react with a foul to his body.
Joe Anderson (Maryville)
Tricky handle. Elite speed with the basketball. Sharp basketball mind. Joe checks all the boxes as a complete point guard. He also draws fouls all over the floor, especially in the defense’s most vulnerable areas.
Johnathan Lawson (Wooddale)
Elite, versatile player. Lawson has attempted 180 free throws this season, a staggering amount. Put another way, Lawson attempts over 8 free throws every game!
Bwerani Johnson Jr. (Freedom Prep)
Made 82 free throws already this season. “He’s always in attack mode and he’s left handed so that works [to] his advantage,” said Freedom Prep Head Coach Bwerani Johnson. “I always told him as a kid he was going up soft so he’s always looking to go hard now.”
Chandler Jackson (Christian Brothers)
Nationally-respected prospect in the sophomore class, Chandler Jackson is a worker in the gym, in the weight room, and grinds his way to successful results. Imagining him at 18 years old is downright scary.
Marcus Long (East Hamilton)
Coupled with Darwin Randolph, Marcus is a dangerous scorer. He gets to the foul line following “short jumpers and floaters and attacking the rim to finish,” pointed out East Hamilton Assistant Coach Tyler Lowery.
Isaac Rankhorn (Montgomery Central)
Adept shooter and capable finisher from any depth. Rankhorn sports 75/99 Free Throws in 16 games.
Isaac Rankhorn is a natural scorer.Reed Kemp (Franklin)
Following the graduation of Franklin High star Reese Glover, Reed Kemp truly ascended into a position of prominence. Kemp is crafty, quick, and clever. He makes every opportunity, including trips to the free throw line, count.
Ryley McClaran (Eagleville)
Signed to Freed-Hardeman. Ryley averages 30.1 ppg and his 85.7% free throw success certainly helps.
Marvin Hughes (McGavock)
Physical. Brilliant mind. Top unsigned point guard in the state. Absorbs contact constantly. He always seems to be standing at the free throw line.
Mason McKnatt (Grace Christian Academy)
Elite shooter averaging 88% from the free throw line. Mason attempted 109 and made 96!
Zach Amonett (Pickett County)
Sophomore sensation Zach is near the most effective statewide at drawing fouls. He makes nearly six free throws each game.
Brandon Miller (Cane Ridge)
The kind of special that comes around infrequently. Brandon missed much of the season with injury. Since his return, Miller is making 84% of his free throws. He takes over 4 per game.
Q Martin (Columbia Central)
Jet quick. Defenders are rarely balanced when Martin drives at them.
Cahlib Edwards (Bearden)
Hyper-aggressive, undersized guard. Cahlib attacks the rim without fear and regularly finishes the play with free throws. Even the exceptional Maryville High team was forced to foul him plenty.
