Hunter Shaw 6’4” Milan: An explosive 2020 combo forward, Shaw is a slasher who is averaging nearly 18 points a game for one of the top Class 2 teams in the state. He can knock down pull up jumpers and throw down impressive slam dunks off the bounce. His athleticism and length also make him a valuable weapon on the defensive end at the top of Milan’s zone pressure defense.
Roddy Alexander 5’11” Christian-O’Fallon: An aggressive 2021 guard who is having a big season for the 11-2 Eagles. He attacks the basket relentlessly whether he’s in transition or in the half court. He finishes well at the rim in traffic. He is currently averaging 17 points a game. He scored 27 points in a big victory over Class 3 powerhouse Trinity in December. He is on the verge of scoring on his 1000th career point.
Triston Turner 6’4″ Fort Osage: The 2020 combo forward is the ideal “Swiss Army Knife” with his versatile skill set. He is currently averaging a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds a game. In addition to his stat-sheet stuffing, he is an excellent defensive player and a capable ball handler who can facilitate with his excellent passing skills. He is a very skilled player who plays a very unselfish game.
Andrew Schwarting 6’6” Saxony Lutheran: A versatile 2020 combo forward who is just as comfortable operating on the perimeter as he is in the low post. He is very capable of knocking down 3-pointers off the catch and he is very effective at scoring off the bounce where he can finish strong and play through contact. He has a nice game from the high post where he can hit turnaround jumpers over smaller defenders or get to the rim in two dribbles for a dunk in traffic.
Preston Thomas 6’4” Princeton: A high scoring 2020 wing player who has led Princeton to the championship of two in-season tournaments, including the a victory over defending state-champion Platte Valley in the Albany Tournament championship game. He is an athletic bucket-getter who can knock down 3-pointers off the catch, slash to the basket on drives and throw down slam dunks in transition. He is averaging 26 points a game.
Ty Campbell 5’8” Crane: A dynamic 2020 guard who led the Pirates to a district championship last season and another successful run so far this year. He has a nice blend of quickness and toughness, which comes through on the defensive end with his ability to hawk the ball and apply ball-pressure. He will pick pockets at a moment’s notice. He can make perimeter jumpers coming off screens while attacking the basket with his nice handles to get into the lane for buckets.
