Riverside-Williamston Freshman Tyquan Bunch: Anytime you see a young player that can make plays in a big time game, you have to be impressed. He has good ball handling skills and made some impressive passes, his play throughout this matchup game us the chance to see flashes of how good he can be and we are excited about his potential.
Farmville Central 2023 Guard Jah Short: He came in and provided a nice spark of energy for his team on both ends of the floor. The energy he brought on the defensive side of the ball helped to force some turnovers which lead to the squad getting some easy transition buckets. We love the motor that he plays with as well as the raw athletic ability that he has at a young age.
First Flight HS Freshman Guard Isaac Dobie: You can see the flashes of how good he can be even though he didn’t have the best showing. Averaging just under 10 points on the season, he’s had some moments of brilliance and is getting an opportunity to see plenty of time on the court at a young age.
Riverside-Williamston Sophomore Guard Jahmean Madlock: Shot the ball well from deep and helped to provide some scoring for his team. He doesn’t need much space to get his shot off and shots it at a pretty good percentage.
First Flight HS Sophomore Guard Ian Crumpler: He didn’t score much but it seemed that he made the correct plays at the correct time while his team was going their runs throughout the game. He came up with some assist and knocked down a three point shot in the 2nd half, as well as playing solid defensively overall.
Greene Central Sophomore Guard Dontavius Petteway: What stood out about his game is that he didn’t try to do too much of anything in particular. Instead he played his role and looked to make the correct plays for his team to put them in winning situations. Whether it was knocking down a shot or making the extra pass to come up with a better shot for a teammate, we were impressed with IQ for the game at this age.
