This group has a nice blend of upper and underclassmen as well as players that are well know and others who you may not have heard of yet. College coaches that are looking for sleeper prospects should give this list a very close look.
Farmville Central Junior Guard Terquavion Smith: Deep trey balls and high flying dunks are what you will see from Terquavion Smith. Time and time again we saw him block shots above the rim on defense as well as throw down monster dunks we he got the chance offensively. The scary thing is that he still has plenty of upside and will be one that could take another step next season.
Farmville Central Junior Forward Leontae Moye: Although his future will be on the baseball field, he’s shown that he is a valuable piece of the success of this team on the court. Rebounding, blocking shots and finishing above the rim are all things you will see from him.
Greene Central Senior Forward Zakvil Smith: He doesn’t play a high amount of minuets for his squad but when he’s on the court, he’s productive. 6’6 with nice athletic ability and long arms which allows him to make plays at a nice rate.
Farmville Central Junior Forward Rashae Owens: The squad doesn’t feature a high amount of interior size but he’s one of those players that play bigger than his height. Using his strength, he battles for rebounds and putbacks inside the paint.
North Lenoir Junior Forward Brandon Brooks: Rebounding and finishing are what he brings for his team. One of the highlight plays that he had on the day was an alley-oop play that he converted to help his team to extend their run.
Farmville Central Junior Guard Dontavious Short: Due to the fact that this team is absolutely loaded with guards, he doesn’t see a ton of time on the court but he plays a role for his team. He has good end to end speed as well as lateral quickness which allows him to make an impact on both ends of the floor.
Beddingfield HS Junior Forward Raekwon Batts: Undersized forward that understands how to use his strength to make plays. Loves to play physical, initiates contact and understands how to use body to make a positive impact.
