Greensboro Day School (25-4) vs High Point Christian (12-12): GDS has put together another impressive season and will be matched up with one of the states top backcourts in this matchup. 2021 Guard KJ Garrett and 2020 Guard Landon Sutton both have been putting up great numbers and need to do the same tomorrow if they wish to pull of an upset.
Westover (18-0) vs Pine Forest (11-7): The Wolverines have continued to roll with a spotless record but they will face one of their tougher challenges with a road game against a talented pine forest squad. Westover HS Junior Guard D’Marco Dunn is leading public schools in the county in scoring at 20 PPG while Pine Forest HS Freshman Isaiah Washington and Senior Guards Marquis Eskew are also in the top 3 in scoring averaging 15 PPG.
Pinecrest (16-2) vs Richmond County (13-5): One of the losses that Pinecrest took this season came at the hands of Richmond County so the Patriots will be looking for revenge without a doubt. Pinecrest Junior Guard Bradlee Haskell is a name to know and has been turning the heads of D1 coaches with his play.
Wesleyan Christian (13-9) vs Word of God Christian (13-11): Word of God will look to get back to their winning ways but it won’t be easy as they are matched up with a Wesleyan squad that has a nice amount of talent of their own. Word of God not only features the McDonald’s All-American Isaiah Todd but also one of the top unsigned senior guards in the state in Chase Forte who has been playing at an extremely high level.
Laney (12-5) vs West Brunswick (14-4): One of the top early week matchups in the Wilmington area, both teams have seen some ups and downs this season. WBHS Senior 6’8 Guard Jadyn Parker is one of the names to know in this gane as he is a player that can be a matchup problem for opponents.
Piedmont Classical (16-8) vs Mount Zion (9-8): Coming off a big win in their game vs New Life Christian, Piedmont Classical will look to continue their winning streak vs MZCA. Piedmont features one of the top unsigned Senior Guards in the state in Trent McIntyre who has picked up offers from schools such as Mount Olive and Lander University.
