Mid-Season All State First Team
Akoi Akoi of SF O’Gorman (Sr). O’Gorman is 9-2 and the Augustana signed forward seems to do more and more on the glass, creating for others, and getting his usual numbers point wise. Big games coming up with Brandon Valley and St. Thomas More coming up.
Maxwell Burchill of Sioux Falls Lincoln (Sr). Max has led the Patriots in scoring and rebounding this year recording a couple double-doubles for the 5-4 team.
Kobe Busch of Huron (Sr). Always with a flare Busch scored his 1,000th point on a 27 point night. In match-ups with some of the best in the state Busch has stepped up to lead with numbers.
Jack Cartwright of SF O’Gorman (Sr). With O’Gorman it’s always a balanced effort and a big part of that balance is Jack’s shooting, his steady ball movement, and his leadership.
Cooper Cornemann of Yankton (Sr). A big reason Yankton is sitting near the top of the state is because Cornemann has stepped up to be a consistent scoring threat night by night.
Teegan Evers of Hurton (Sr). Constant double-figure threat, regular finisher inside and out on a 7-2 team.
Tyler Feldkamp of SF Roosevelt (Jr). Tyler’s second half explosion against Lincoln has been a top moment this season as was his steal and complete against O’Gorman, it’s a reason his team is 8-3 and others have an extra L.
Colton Hartford of Rapid City Stevens (Sr). Hartford is the football quarterback, he is a solid baseball prospect, and he’s the top playmaker on an 8-5 basketball team.
Matthew Mors of Yankton (Jr). The most obvious choice and the most dangerous player in the state Mors has his team on top heading into the second half of the season.
Gavin Terhark of Brandon Valley (Sr). Leading scorer and rebounder for the defending champs, Brandon Valley is 8-2 and in position to make a run again.
