- In all of my years of scouting, I have yet to see a situation that played out the way West Bladen vs East Bladen did. West Bladen Senior Guard Tyre Boykin finished with 41 Points, which was the total amount of point for his entire team on the night. Boykin has a gift for scoring the ball and a physique that looks like he’s spent time in a college weight room already.
- Havelock HS Sophomore Guard Julian Richards went for 31 Points in a win over Swansboro. On the season he is averaging about 10 points and 5 rebounds so this could possibly be a turning point for him where he runs off a string of good games.
- Lejeune HS Junior Guard Jaylen Armstrong has been quietly together a nice amount of games. He’s strong, athletic, rebounds it well for a Guard and can defend at a high level. He went for 28 Points & 12 Rebounds in a loss to Dixon HS.
- Terry Sanford HS Sophomore Davis Molnar continues to turn heads with his play as he went for 20 points and 10 rebounds in a win for his team. Molnar has played at the PG spot as well as some wing and has picked up a nice amount of D1 interest.
- Dixon HS Junior Guard Logan Hubbard put together another nice performance in their win over Lejeune HS. Hubbard finished with 25 Points on the night, but don’t let the scoring numbers fool you, he’s a true PG. He can facilitate just as well as he can score the ball and will be a player for colleges to keep an eye on over the next year.
- Ben L Smith Senior Wing Silas Mason put together a nice performance for his team with 25 Points in a big conference win. Mason is one of the top senior prospects that is available and holds MM+ offers. A legit 6’7 with the ability to score it a high rate and play above the rim.
- Northwest Guilford Senior Guard Christian Hampton has played at a high level and is not showing any signs of drop off. In their matchup with Grimsley HS he scored 27 Points to lead his squad. He’s an underrated defender and has picked up offers from LM programs and D2 schools.
- Village Christian got back on the winning track with a win over Northwood Temple which puts them in the #2 conference spot. Senior Guard Zavian Mclean dropped 17 points and is one of the leading candidate for Conference Player Of The Year.
