BELLFLOWER — Monday’s Bosco MLK Dream Showcase featured nine games and some of the top teams and players from various regions of Southern California. Sheldon’s Marcus Bagley, Mayfair’s Josh Christopher, Foothills Christian’s Yassine Gharram, Lynwood’s Jaren Johnson, St. Bernard’s Nick Bowden and Bosco’s Wynton Brown made up  some of the top seniors in attendance, but in this piece we shine the light on the under-the-radar seniors who turned in strong efforts.

Dion Porter, Los Altos

Porter is a long, wiry and bouncy athlete, and at 6-feet-4, showed the ability to guard multiple positions with success. Porter scored all 10 of his points in the first half to help the Los Altos get out to a quick and large lead and played limited minutes for the remainder of the game. One of the more underrated parts of Porter's game is his rebounding ability for his size and position.

D'Anthony Ward, Washington Prep

Ward is a small but crafty point guard who plays with good pace. The 5-foot-8 senior uses changes of speed to get where he needs to go in transition, is a consistent perimeter jump shooter when on the move and finishes around the basket much bigger than his size.
