Daylan Hamilton is a 6’3 combo guard that is having a very solid senior season this year. Last season he was a member of the UIL 6A State Runner-Ups Klein Forest High School where he averaged 15 points a game. This season he is averaging 35 points per game on the season so far. He has helped his team to a 16-8 overall record so far as they currently sit in 3rd place in their district. He played summer ball on the former Adidas Gauntlet with Team Harden.
Daylan also has a solid build to his body and has great strength. He is a bouncy guard that is very tough to guard when going downhill and finishes at a super high rate in the lane. His game has improved from deep. He is very athletic and will dunk you. He has solid lateral movement and challenges shots at the rim. He would be a solid addition to any Low Major D1/D2/JuCo program.
What has been the biggest adjustment for you this season? The biggest change is the fact that my team is s much younger than last year. That has forced me to step up and make sure that I show up for every night for my team, and my teammates feed off of my energy. What motivates you to play the way that you do? I feel that being slept on by so many schools and the fact that it’s my senior year knowing that any game could be my last game makes me push myself. Loosing in the state title game last year is stuck in y head as well. How is your recruitment going right now, who has been in contact with you, and what offers do you currently have? I hold 3 JuCo offers right now from Panola College, Lamar State-Port Arthur, and Temple College. I have been contacted by San Diego University, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, and Texas Southern. What area of your game do you feel has improved the most? Being able to shot off the dribble and scoring the ball at all three levels of the game. Thank you for your time and may God bless you with a healthy finish to your senior season and your collegiate career.
