10. The Classical Academy
The Classical Academy has had a good start to the season going 8-3. This past week they beat a solid Widefield team. This year they are being led by one of the top unsigned seniors, Micah Lamberth, who is a 6’4 point guard. He is averaging 15 points, 4.2 assists, and 5.6 rebounds per game. This team has a true test coming up when they play Harrison, who are one of the top 4A teams in the state.
9. Golden
Golden has had an up and down year so far beating some really good teams but also taking some losses on the way. This week they had two tough losses against George Washington and Green Mountain. This team has one of the best freshmen in the state, Alan Acevedo, who is leading the team in scoring, AS A FRESHMAN! This team has a good game this week when they play Wheat Ridge, a team trying to prove themselves in 4A.
8. Green Mountain
Green Mountain had a really hot start to the season but has slowed down a little bit since then. One game they proved themselves to be a top team in 4A was when they beat Golden. They are being led by senior, Blake Schell, who is just one of this team’s weapons. This week they will face off against Evergreen, which should be a good match up.
7. Erie
Eire has had a good season going 10-3 so far. They are being led by junior Kevin Loy who is averaging 12.4 points per game. They also have senior Ladorian Havard who is a talented scorer. This team has some very solid wins underneath their belt beating Windsor, Holy Family, D’Evelyn, and Longmont. They have a true test this week when they play Mead; this will show us how good they are.
6. Northfield
Northfield has beat many expectations this year going 10-3. They have one of the most talented rosters in 4A. They are being led by senior Nsyah Bolar who is averaging a double-double this year. They have a player, Travier Craddock, who is back after an injury; he is averaging 13 points in his first two games back. This team has a good match up coming up this week when they play Thomas Jefferson.
