Skylar WIlson had a huge jump in our rankings going from unranked at the beginning of the summer then being ranked in our 30s, now ranked the fourth best player in his class! This move up is due to his mix of size, athleticism, and ability to shoot. Standing at 6’7 he plays on the wing and can score best from the outside. Skylar is a player who plays best when he is surrounded by good players, which he showed when he joined Billups Elite on the Adidas Gauntlet. He scored with ease on the Gauntlet and has continued that in Colorado. He is averaging 12.8 points this year on a top five Eaglecrest squad.
Ben Bowen jumped up from our 24 spot to number 10. He is a player who has proven his worth this year at Mountain Vista, averaging 14.5 points, 2.8 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game. He has been a bright spot on this team showing his ability do a little bit of everything. He can take the ball up the court, shoot from the outside, drive and kick, and finish around the basket. His height is another thing that makes him such a good prospect standing at 6’4.
Jarmell Johnson has jumped into our number 11 spot from being ranked in the thirties before. He had a big off season absolutely dominating in show cases. Now for George Washington he is leading the team in scoring with 12.9 points per game. He can score the ball using his athleticism to sky above players. He also makes an impact on the defensive end blocking shots, getting steals, and guarding the other teams best player. Being one of the most athletic players in the state he has earned his spot towards the top.
Greyson Carter was someone who made a huge jump in our rankings coming from below 40 to our number 13 spot. Greyson has been the surprise of this year leading the top ten Fairview team in scoring. This year he is putting up 18.6 points and 7.9 rebounds per game, and this is not even his main sport. He is a baseball star who’s game translates well to basketball. Standing at 6’4, he is a good athlete who was very good body control which allows him to dominate around the rim; also he has a good stroke from the outside.
Deangelo Horn is someone who has made huge strides in his games in the last year. He was ranked down in our 60s in the last rankings and has moved up to the 19 spot. He joined the talented Billups Elite squad halfway through the AAU season and played very well. One of the best parts of his game is his athleticism, he is very fast and can get up and dunk the ball. He now starts on a stacked Smoky Hill team and does not fill up the stat sheet but does all the little things you like to see.
