Dante Maddox (Bloom)
Previous Ranking: #13
Current Ranking: #8
It might not seem like that big of a move, but Maddox rising five spots into the top 10 overall shows you how strong of a senior year he has had. The Cal State Fullerton commit has been the go to player for a Bloom team that features five D1 prospects. He has been a consistent force as a scorer posting 20+ and 30+ point games on a regular basis. Crisp ball handler with deep range on his three point shot.
Antoine Bloxton (Bogan)
Previous Ranking: #25
Current Ranking: #18
Bloxton has elevated his game as a senior. The wiry shooting guard has been excellent every time we have seen him in the first half of the season. He plays with such a high motor and his ability to turn defense into offense in a hurry is impressive. Bloxton was dominant at the Proviso West Holiday Tournament leading his team to the championship scoring over 30 points.
Roland McCoy (Kenwood)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #66
McCoy is a two guard that has been generating buzz ever since the fall and has been the go to scorer for Kenwood this year. He is a bit undersized at the two guard spot, but this kid can really get buckets! Drills jump shots from beyond the arc. Also has the athleticism to make quick and decisive moves to the cup.
Bryson Tatum (Urbana)
Previous Ranking: #228
Current Ranking: #78
Tatum just killed it event after event all fall! Whether it was the UIC Elite Camp, PrepHoops Camp, Spartz Showcase, and then continued it into his senior season with Urbana. The broad shouldered wing can really score it. This 6’4” wing can play both on and off the ball. Very good pull up jump shooter that combines that with the ability to attack downhill using his broad shoulders.
Luke Cox (Triad)
Previous Ranking: #223
Current Ranking: #81
Cox is a 6’4” shooting guard that is a player we had on our radar last season, but didn’t fully get our attention until we saw him go for 50+ points in a fall league game. He has continued his bucket getting for Triad as a senior including a recent 31 point outing at the Highland Shootout. Cox connected on an array of threes with a smooth and fluid release. He then began to score off the bounce. Quick and aggressive moves to the hoop. Pretty decent athlete that has crisp handles.
Kaden Froebe (Lincoln)
Previous Ranking: NR
Current Ranking: #98
The 6’3” lefty two guard is crafty with the ball in his hands. Sound perimeter shooter knocking down threes at a high rate. He opened our eyes with his play at the Collinsville Holiday Tournament. Froebe has committed to Missouri S&T.
