Ashton Myles-Devore, Woodford County – Myles-Devore is one of the best shooters in Kentucky. He’s shooting 48% from three on the season and when his feet are set on the catch, defenses may as well start going the other way. Ashton is a combo guard who plays a lot off the ball for Coach Brown’s squad but is a capable ball handler at the point. For offensive purposes, he’s best as a catch and shoot player but when he’s aggressive attacking the rim, he has the look of a future college player.
Alex Schalch, Mason County – Alex is super skilled on the block and a capable rebounder who uses his frame to carve out space. Schalch has high academics and would be a steal for a D3 school looking for a post and I can see him playing D2 or NAIA in the right system. He showed some stretch in his game at our Top 250 expo back in August and athleticism we didn’t expect with multiple dunks.
Rashad Bishop, Ballard – After missing the first half of the season due to a broken wrist and the rust is still getting knocked off but Rashad reminds me so much of NAIA All-American Chris Coffey with his length and athletic ability. At 6’7 and extremely bouncy, Bishop would be a gem for any recruiting class and could wind up a D1 player if he did a year at prep school next year.
Jalen Scott, Conner – Conner is a legitimate contender in a highly competitive 9th region and Scott has been leading the team all season long. Averaging 17 points and 5 rebounds while shooting 52% from the field and 36% from 3. Jalen should be a D2/NAIA level player by the time signing day rolls around.
Thomas Spencer, Wayne County – Wayne County is a little down compared to their typical season but Spencer is having a good Senior campaign. Thomas has terrific size for the wing at 6’4 and has shown the ability to score as he’s averaging over 20 points per game while shooting 57% from the field and 42% from three.
Jaden Franklin, Glasgow – The 6’5 Franklin missed his entire Junior campaign after a torn ACL suffered in football. He has come back to the court this season and is averaging 13 points and 8 rebounds while still working back into his old form. Jaden could be a football player in college but he could also be a nice pickup for a junior college where he can develop more wing skills.
