Terrin Hamilton, Scott County – Terrin sat behind Michael Moreno and waited for his chance to shine. The wait has paid off this season. Averaging 20 points and 8.5 rebounds on the year, Hamilton just sat a career high with 33 points in a game last week. Standing 6’6 with a 6’9 wingspan, Terrin has the length and positional versatility to play at the next level.
Tyren Moore, Male – Tyren had been thought of as one of the three members of Male’s big three heading into the season, along with Howard Fleming and Noah Courtney. Now over halfway through the season, Moore has established himself as the man on this Bulldog roster. Leading the team in scoring and with shooting splits of 49/45/79, Moore has established himself as the front runner for player of the year in the 7th region.
DaeShawn White, Newport – Like Hamilton, White had to sit and wait his turn behind a solid Senior class that won a lot of games for the Wildcats over the last few seasons. Now that he is the main option, DaeShawn is leading the team in scoring and rebounding as well as being the on court leader for a team that is relatively inexperienced outside of White.
Jamison Epps, Marion County – This time a year ago, Jamison had quit the team at Marion County and was sitting at home instead of making an impact on the court. Now a Senior, Epps has returned to the Knights with renewed enthusiasm and a big increase in production. Leading the team in scoring and rebounding at 17 points and 13 rebounds per game, Jamison is back making an impact in a loaded 5th region.
Trey Brock, Middlesboro – His athleticism has always been elite but it seems like the light has turned on for Brock in his Senior year. Averaging 16 points per game and one of the top free throw shooters in the state at 85% from the line, Trey is having a big Senior year for a Middlesboro team that could be a sleeper in the 13th region tournament.
Trevis Oglesby, Jeffersontown – Oglesby is a transfer into Louisville from just over the bridge in Southern Indiana. Trevis is averaging 12 points and 6 rebounds per game while shooting a very impressive 69% from the field. In a loaded 6th region, the 6’7 Trevis could be a big difference maker when the regional tournament rolls around.
