Josue Grullon, 6’4, G/F, 2021, Grandview Christian
A combo player who shows strong flexibility both on the perimeter and inside and around the basket. In Grandview’s thrilling OT win over Truman, Grullon led all scoring with 30 points. He shot over 60 percent from the field and two 3-pointers and both free throws and added one block and four assists. An impressive junior prospect on the rise at the right time.
Kaimen Lennox, 6’2, G, 2020, Truman
Another top performer from the Truman Grandview matchup, Lennox is a terrific two-way standout who shows excellent awareness and elite scoring ability when the game is on the line. Lennox finished with 25 points and two steals and made 10-17 free throw attempts. Lennox has good hops as well and shows the ability to break down defenses with the dribble and shake off contact. Lennox also shows a great jump shot and deep ball.
Braden Applehans, 6’5, G/F, 2022, Blue Springs
A long, two-way player who has great length and solid size. He has a soft touch to his shot and can make defenders second-guess giving him an open look. Applehans has a sneaky eurostep and can adjust his shot and score off the glass or operate as a catch-and shoot player. He led his team in scoring with 20 points as he can find his rhythm from a distance and score using odd angles.
Tavion Banks, 6’5, F, 2021, Ruskin
Banks shot 54 percent from the floor and lead all scores with 24 points in Ruskin’s win over Blue Springs. Banks showcased a terrific feel for post play and the transition game. He has a strong touch and looks to play physical and secure every rebound he could get his hands on. Banks showed a lot of poise on the defensive side of the floor with two steals, three blocks and six defensive rebounds.
Grant Stubbs, 6’6, F, 2020, Liberty
Stubbs showed great improvement this summer rolling with MoKan and his game continues to stand out this season. Stubbs lead all scores with 24 as Liberty rolled Winnetonka, 63-49.
