West Brunswick Senior G/F Calvin Collins: He was huge for them in their semi-final matchup, late in the game when West Brunswick needed some big buckets. Catching the ball at the high post and knocking down jumper after jumper is what we saw from him. These buckets helped to give his squad consistent offense in a game where his team struggled to get buckets early on.
Pamlico County Junior Guard Jahmere Miller: His scoring ability throughout the event was much needed for his team as he was one of the main scoring threats for his squad. He knocked down some shots from three point land which helped to open up the offense a bit, but also showed some good facilitator ability with his passing to set teammates up for easy buckets.
West Brunswick Senior G/F Jaquice Daniels: You can’t measure the type of impact he makes on the game through stats. Defense is where he truly shows how good of a player he is. Constantly applying pressure, denying opponents the ball, he makes things difficult for just about every player he’s guarding.
Scotland County HS Senior Forward Trevion Graham: The type of player that you love to have on your team but you hate to play against, he’s constantly working on both ends of the floor. Finishing inside, rebounding, blocking shots and battling are all things that he does well.
Pinecrest HS Senior Forward Noah Lyons: Brings the interior presence for a team that doesn’t have much size, as he is one of the taller players at 6’2. He battles for rebounds on both ends of the floor and is a very unselfish player, constantly looking to make the correct play instead of looking for his own offense.
Pamlico County Senior Wing Lamonti Lewis: Provided some much needed scoring for the team from the wing spot in the later rounds of the tournament averaging over 15 PPG in the final two games. He does a nice job of anticipating plays on the defensive end of the floor, which leads to steals and opportunities for his team to get out into transition for easy offense.
