Here’s a broad overview of our updated class of 2022 rankings, taking a look at some of the trends we’ve seen so far. Stay tuned for more in-depth breakdowns!

CHANGES IN THE TOP-10

Not much has changed in the updated top-10. The exception being Tyrell Ward‘s ascension to #3 from his previous spot at #5. Ward has seen his role grow with the Stags in his second season. He has prototypical size for a wing and tremendous defensive potential to go along with plenty of ability on the offensive end.

FIVE STOCK RISERS

CJ Lee is one of many hidden gems in Montgomery County
#12 | CAM WHITMORE | 6’6″ SF | ARCHBISHOP SPALDING | PREVIOUS RANK: 31

Whitmore is fully healed after sitting out last season and has been producing consistently. He was recently named MVP of the James Chapman Tournament at North Point for his efforts.

#26 | CJ LEE | 6’1″ G | NORTHWEST | PREVIOUS RANK: 36

Lee is averaging over 20 points per game so far for the Jags and appears set for a breakout sophomore campaign.

#43 | GARVIN SWEEN JR. | 6’7″ F | GLENELG COUNTRY | PREVIOUS RANK: 64

Sween still has a ways to go, but his potential is undeniable. Right now his primary value comes on the defensive end where he can be very disruptive as a result of his combination of length and mobility.

#47 | DELONTE RAYNOR | 6’3″ G | FAIRMONT HEIGHTS | PREVIOUS RANK: 66

Raynor is excelling in a supporting role for the Hornets. He brings his hard hat with him every time he hits the court and has intriguing versatility.

#57 | KADEN RICHARDSON | 6’2″ G | CHURCHILL | PREVIOUS RANK: 67

Richardson stood out at our Top 250 Expo in the fall and has carried that momentum with him into this season. He’s a sneaky athlete who can get the job done on both ends.
