Linton makes School History
Today when the AP Poll came out, it was reveled that Linton-Stockton was ranked #1 in 2A, marking the first time in school history that this has happened. Linton is coming off a huge road win against a very good Paoli team. With a very favorable schedule, the Miners have a really good chance on have a very successful season, especially with top 2021 SG prospect Lincoln Hale leading them. Expect Linton to continue to build off this 1-0 start with road games against Clay City and Vincennes Lincoln coming up.
Blackhawk Christian drops 105 in win against Fort Wayne North
Blackhawk Christian started off the season with one in the win column and what a win it was. Tonight the Braves beat Fort Wayne North very easily with the final scorer being 105-59. The expectation for this game was indeed for Blackhawk Christian to win but I do not think people expected this much dominance from them. This team is loaded with talent like Caleb Furst, Zane Burke, Marcus Davidson, and Luke LaGrange. Blackhawk Christian is the easy favorite to win the 2A State Championship and tonight’s massive win should prove that.
New Haven upsets Fort Wayne Northrop
The Bulldogs of New Haven were able to pull off an upset 64-51 win over Fort Wayne Northrop tonight. Thomas Latham of New Haven had a very impressive night with a double-double having 27 points and 10 rebounds and also adding 5 blocks and 3 assists to that huge stat-line. Nick Haines lead Northrop tonight with 19 points as well. With this upset win, New Haven moves onto 2-0 this season while Northrop falls to 1-1. New Haven’s next matchup is against the loaded Blackhawk Christian squad.
