Kerwin Walton of Hopkins (1), 6’6 wing. Kerwin is one of the elite shooters in the nation and he will have several colleges at the Tip Off Classic taking a look at him. When it comes to best available players in the nation Kerwin is on that list.
J’Vonne Hadley of Cretin-Derham Hall (2), 6’6 forward. Hadley picked up some solid scholarship options in the spring and summer but decided to play out his senior season to see what options he could continue to gather with his winter play. Hadley is a strong, athletic player that scored 28 a game last year.
Terry Lockett of Minnehaha Academy (3) 6’1 point guard. Lockett is a high major offered football talent who we heard was about to make a football decision recently but is now not quite sure about his next move. You would think that would be as a wide receiver but Terry is also a D1 offered point guard to keep an eye on.
John Henry of Eden Prairie (4) 6’5 wing. Henry earned a couple D1 offers last summer, took a couple D1 visits this fall, and now he’s a top five available senior this winter. John can stroke it at the arc at a 40 percent clip and he’s also an intelligent team defender that teammates love to compete with.
Joshua Brown of Park Center (5) 6’3 shooting guard. Brown has a D1 offer from Denver plus some D2 options but he is going to play things out through the winter and see what other schools come with interest. The calls are being made and this weekend teams can come see Brown knock out jumpers on the state’s top Class AAAA team.
DT Frierson of Park Center (6) 6’3 wing. Frierson plays a ton of roles: lead guard, slashing scorer, top defender, rebounder, motivational leader, and so much more. Frierson is a D1 level athlete that is building his game as an all around player.
John Grigsby of Park Center (7) 6’9 stretch four. Grigsby is a stretch big with really good size that has D2 options in a few different states. Grigsby can shoot the basketball with consistency and quality range. John transferred here from Colorado and he was a top ten player in that state.
Blake Remme of Spring Lake Park (8) 6’6 forward. Blake Remme is a scholarship offered forward that puts effort into rebounding, he can beat other forwards off the dribble, he shoots it and all around Blake knows how to put numbers in the book in whatever way needed.
Jax Madson of Mankato East (9) 6’1 guard. Off the ball Jax shoots the ball at a high percentage level. On the ball Jax can run a team with a great playmaking ability. He’s a coach’s son that has led his team to wins for several years.
Joich Gong of Mankato East (10) 6’1 guard. Gong, like Madson, is a combo guard that can push the pace at point or play off the ball cutting to hit. Gong has a nice pull-up, a high court IQ, and he can attack with a quick first step.
