Game Summary

This Friday night matchup included some talented players on both teams. Most of Henry Clay's scoring came from their upperclassmen, while most of Eastern's scoring came from their underclassmen. Henry Clay never really seemed to get it going in this game as they only scored 16 points in the 1st Half. At halftime Eastern led Henry Clay, 25-16. The 3rd Quarter was Henry Clay's best quarter of the game as they scored 19 but Eastern still managed to score 17. Eastern pulls away in the 4th Quarter and ends up winning, 58-46.

Three Standout Performances

Christian Spalding (Eastern)

Eastern's sophomore point guard was excellent in this game. He has great feel for the game. His dribbling skills and driving ability is what really caught my eye. He also can shoot the deep ball as he went 2-2 from behind the arc. Spalding wins my Player of the Game as he finished with 17 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists. This Eastern team is loaded with young talent and Spalding is the perfect floor general to lead this team in the right direction. Young but really talented from top to bottom.
