Camden Holter of Minneapolis Southwest. Camden had a solid 15u season with Howard Pulley which caught our eye last spring/summer and then seeing him play on Tuesday, Prep Hoops is excited about Holter’s future. Camden is 6-foot-3 or 6-foot-4 as a wing and the speed at which he moves up the floor is very impressive. Holter explodes to the rim forcing people to take a charge or get scored on plus his touch is solid. Didn’t shoot many jumpers on Tuesday but when he did it was clear that he could develop into a good shooter as well.
Curtis Jones of Cretin-Derham Hall. Division two coaches in Minnesota, this is the next guy you should be calling. What people love about Curtis, in addition to his wonderful shooting stroke that sinks shots at a high percentage, is his demeanor. Curtis cares about winning and every decision made is for the team and made in a calm way. Jones knocked out huge shots vs Minneahaha Academy but that is nothing new as he has done that with Minneapolis South, Mentality Minnesota, and Cretin-Derham Hall over the years. Keep on eye on this senior as he is one of the best available in Minnesota.
Jabari Langley of Minneapolis Edison. One player being talked as a top up and coming junior is Jabari Langley, a 6-foot-1 wing from Minneapolis Edison. Langley leads a group that is balanced but he’s been the most consistent player of the returning group the last two seasons. Langley is vicious in his attack to the rim but he’s also been moving the ball even better this year to the several Edison pieces.
Teigan Martin of Mayer Lutheran. Teigan has a very real chance of growing into a scholarship prospect. He has grown to 6-foot-6 or maybe even 6-foot-7 (which of course means a listed 6-foot-7) and has added consistency and range to his jumper but physically Martin moves well and has good size at a young age. When the Crusaders get their three starters back (at least a couple of them back) Martin will have more room to work and he will really take off.
Joshua Rogers of Minneapolis Washburn. Rogers had a solid junior year earning his way to all league and a spot on a good 17u team. Then with the Minnesota Fury, Rogers played well enough on both ends to put himself in the area of being a top 50 level prospect in the state. What’s next? Showing he can lead a young team to a good season/improved year. Rogers had an important 25 point game in a key win over Edison so he’s off to a good start.
