Last night I had the opportunity to do a question session with one of those Elite 2022 players who plays for Cornerstone Christian in San Antonio and his name is Tre White.
Andre:Thank you for taking the time to interview with me Tre. The first question I want toast you is how are you liking it at Cornerstone Christian?
Tre: I love it, it’s a beautiful city and the fans and people here are cool. The city really loves us and it’s fun to play in.
Andre: What is some of the the things that you’ve been working on improving at on the court?
Tre: I’ve been working on seeing the floor better, being more of a floor general so I can see stuff before it happens. Also just keeping my handles and jump shot elite. I’m transitioning into a point guard , which is really fun to see the floor open up and get everyone involved. I can get over and through traps and see the lobs and passes easier while creating match ups problems .
Andre: How has it been playing alongside Austin Nunez & Jerrell Colbert?
Tre: It is really a special treat to play with them , Austin to kick to go get another bucket at any time and Jerrell to just dominate the paint , but DON’T sleep on the rest of our team , we are going to shock a bunch of people , coaches will be shocked to see how good we are.
Andre: Lastly, what are some of your individual and team goals for this season?
Tre: Well, everybody already knows I can score, but I want to show that I can lead a team and make the game simpler and lock down the best player and hitting the right passes to stretch the floor. I also have some really special players on my team that can go play d1 and just haven’t been seen. So since they’ll be in the spotlight this year on the national level I want to try and get all my seniors and juniors scholarships this year to their best schools.
Closing Statement
Tre White has an ultra skill-set to go a long with his size, playmaking ability, beautiful jumper and feel for the game. He has shown improvement in a lot of areas on and off the court. White is focusing on helping his teammates reach their goals and getting them the opportunity to play at the next level. His unselfish mindset and big time performances thus far are a big reason why Cornerstone Christian is currently undefeated and considered a Top 5 team in the state of Texas.
