Dre: Thank you for doing the Question Session with me Brendan. My first question is when did you start playing basketball?
Brendan: Started playing when I was 3.
Dre: What is a pregame ritual you do to help you prepare for a game?
Brendan: My pregame ritual is I wake up extra early on game days around 5 and I like to get 500 made shots in that morning and then before the game I’ll get treatment for my body and get another 200 makes in.
Dre: How is it playing alongside Damonze Woods and Cade Hornecker
Brendan: I love getting to play along side Cade and Damonze because we’ve been together since 1st grade so it is a brotherhood and they help make me a better player because of how hard we work. They also know when to find me and they are great screeners for me in ball picks and even pin downs so it is very exciting to share the court with them.
Dre: What is something you are working to improve on in your game?
Brendan: Something that I’m working on to improve is my reads as a guard out of the pick and roll and getting the shot I want off of that read and lastly playing with a certain pace are some of the main things I’m focusing on.
Dre: What are your individual and team goals that you would like to accomplish by the end of the season?
Brendan: Some individual goals I would like to accomplish is being district MVP and shooting 50-40-90%. And then my team goal is to win a district championship and state championship.
Closing Statement
Brendan Hausen has all of the attributes you want in a shooting guard. He has size, skill, confidence, elite shooting ability and insane work ethic. Hausen currently has division 1 offers from Oklahoma and Texas Tech but more should come his way soon.
