1.Mcghie showing strides in his game
Mcghie is a three point marksmen who has always been known these last couple of years as a solid role player for Denton Guyer High School. Yesterday the Senior shooting guard showed viewers that he is embracing his role as one of the go to players offensively for his squad and he is more comfortable bringing the ball up the floor as a secondary ball handler. He shot the ball well off the catch and the bounce in the win over Manor.
2. Bryce Griggs is a Bad Young Man!
Since middle school Bryce Griggs has always been considered the best player in the state of Texas for his class. Although he’s still considered one of the best prospects in the state the narrative of him being the no brainer number one prospect/player has changed for a lot of people due to the emergence of Keyonte George, Vincent Iwuchukwu, Tre White, Lee Dort, Rylan Griffin and Arterio Morris who are all making an argument to be considered the number one Texas prospect for 2022. Yesterday at the Thanksgiving Hoopfest in a matchup versus Lewisville and fellow 2022 prospect Keyonte George , the point guard phenom Bryce Griggs reminded the whole state of Texas why his name is still in that consideration for that spot. He was sensational getting to the his spots off the bounce and hitting jumpers from multiple areas on the floor. There was no one on the court who could hold Griggs and he played with the killer instinct that you want to see in a kid who’s going up against another top ranked prospect. Bryce finished with a game high 39 points and a game winner over Lewisville.
3. Kendall Brown is a Gifted Athlete
Brown has length, size, athleticism and a great motor. Against Austin Westlake, Kendall was terrific getting to the basket and rising up for vicious one hand slams. He’s got a nice perimeter game and can knock down jumpers off the catch. The five-star 2021 Forward from Sunrise Christian was exciting to watch this weekend.
