Now it is time to dive into our superlatives from the event. Today we have Team Rose: Top Shooters Part 1!
Luke Moustakas (Brother Rice – 2021)
This Brother Rice four man could be the best floor spacing four man in the junior class. He showcased that at Team Rose connecting on multiple spot up triples.
John Paul Hanley (Riverside Brookfield – 2022)
Impressive outing for this 6’3” sophomore shooting guard. He drilled multiple threes in their win over De La Salle.
Tevin Smith (Danville – 2021)
Smith is coming back from a knee injury and looked back to his old self. He even shot the ball better than we had previously seen drilling pull ups and step backs.
Gary Clay Jr (Rich East – 2021)
Clay is a combo guard from Rich East that’s strength is his ability to shoot the basketball. Knocked down several threes.
Dante Maddox (Bloom – 2020)
This Cal State Fullerton commit was lights out as usual shooting the ball from deep. He has been on a tear to start the season as the go to scorer for state’s top team.
Trey Davis (St. Laurence – 2020)
Davis is a lefty point guard that can hit threes off the catch. A bit trigger happy at times, but definitely can let it fly from beyond the arc.
Isaiah Barnes (OPRF – 2021)
Barnes started off slow, but it was his feathery jump shot that got him rolling in the second half as the top 10 junior caught fire from three and mid-range.
Matthew Ambrose (Stevenson – 2020)
This shooting guard from Stevenson is lights out off the catch and moving without the basketball for threes. He is committed to D2 University of Indianapolis.
Josiah Hammons (Curie – 2020)
Hammons broke out in a major way with his shooting from the corners on Saturday night. The unknown guard was lethal from three in their win.
Jakobi Heady (Hillcrest – 2021)
Heady is a rangy small forward that broke out this weekend at Team Rose. He went for 30 points many of them coming on his smooth three point stroke.
Dan Florey (St. Ignatius – 2020)
Florey moves well without the ball and can flat out stroke it from the perimeter. Hit some big triples for St. Ignatius on Sunday morning.
