NBA scouts and colleges were both in attendance at several of the sites. Here are some more players who boosted their stock at the Tark Classic.
Mojave King (NBA Global Academy, Wing, 2021) The guard who plays for the Academy from Austrailia put on a scoring display for several scouts in attendance. King is a 6’5″ guard who mixes his game up utilizing both his shooting ability with his athletic bounce. King is a threat in transition where he has his acrobatic slashing ability on full display. He is a high impact scorer who can alter the game in a hurry. King also possesses a college ready body which he uses to be physical when needed. King is a high profile recruit who if he played in the United States, would easily be a top 100 player of his class, if not higher.
Milos Uzan (Desert Pines, Guard, 2022) The play making guard is simply a leader. The 6’3″ guard is a D-1 prospect. Uzan possesses great ball handling ability and an innate ability to find and lead his teammates. To compliment his ball handling, he also displays a 3 pt shot as well as a consistent floater which he hits when he gets in the lane. Basketball is part of his bloodline as his dad played professional basketball. Uzan is full of potential to be a standout major player.
Carlos Rosario (Veritas Prep, Wing, 2020) The 6’5″ swing man is one of the most underrated players from the west coast. Rosario is silky smooth scorer who has been lighting it up for Veritas all season long. He scores in multiple ways from outside jumpers to finishes in the lane. In front of 40 coaches, Rosario scored 18 pts in a win over Dream City Christian.
L Simpson (Golden St. Prep, G/F, 2020) The former Sierra Canyon Trailblazer is emerging as a leader for his GSP team. Simpson is a tough nosed fundamental player who contributes in many ways but what stands out is that he is a mid range assassin. He looks to have mastered the mid range J as he can score from 15 with consistency. Simpson also is not afraid to do the dirty work on defense. You can put him on the other team’s best player. Simpson had a huge game against New Zealand’s Swish Academy in which he tallied 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals.
Alex Tchikou (Dream City Christian, PF, 2021) Nicknamed “Frenchie” the first thing you will see when Tchikou is on the court is potential. He’s long, athletic, and can run like a deer. Tchikou has all the upside to be developed into an impact player on both sides of the court. He’s 6’11” agile, and can move his feet. Tchikou does a good job of contesting every shot that goes his way. He shows promise with room to add a jumper and ball handling skills. High major programs are looking his way and his stock should continue to rise as the season goes on.
