Event organizer Dinos Trigonis, a legend in his own right does a tremendous job of putting together fan-friendly matchups. The event features 8 different divisions spread out over several courts throughout the city. In this article, PH takes a look at the standouts from the Select and Orleans Bracket.
EJ Farmer 6’5 SF Cleveland Heights 2021 – The bouncy wing had 23 to help Cleveland Heights advance to the second round.
Trace Ross 6’3 SG Corner Canyon 2021 – The story always seems to start the same way every time. People take one look at Ross and Corner Canyon, and underestimate them. Then he goes out and dissects his opponents. It wasn’t his best game, but Ross still finished with 18 and led the defending 5A champs to a 20 point first-round victory.
Derek Ford 6’5 SF Mirmar 2020 – Ford Poured in 20 points to help Mirmar advance to the semifinals of the Orleans bracket.
Caleb McGill 6’8 PF Grandview 2020 (feature image) – The UC Davis committ put on a show at DO. Showed off his run and jump ability, along with the occasional 3. The prototype stretch 4 finished with 18 to help Grandview move into the semis of the Orleans bracket.
Anthony Hunter 5’11 PG Durango 2020 (#7PHN 2020) – Hunter was his usual dynamic self. He finished with 20 leading Durango into a semifinal matchup against a loaded NFEI team.
Deangelo Elisee 6’8 PF North Flordia Educational Institue 2020 – Elisee is an elite shot-blocker and high major prospect. His physicality has proved to be too much in the first two rounds. He has dominated down low finishing with dunks and putbacks consistently.
Garvin Clarke 6’0 PG Cleveland Heights 2020 – Clarke displayed a steady hand and a smooth touch. He finished with 21 and helped Cleveland Heights to a first-round W.
Jashawne Joseph 6’6 SF NFEI 2021 – The transplant from Canada currently has no offers. Not sure how that’s possible, but he can play. He showed off his run and jump athleticism and even knocked down a 3 to help NFEI gain a birth into the semis of the Orleans bracket.
