Jorden Josephs SF 6’4 2020 Chaparral
-A very athletic wing forward gets into the lane with a nice handle. More of a downhill driver then shooter currently. Rebounds at a high rate in and out of his area. Can defend the 2-4 with success and plays above the rim on the break. Has great body control in traffic. A versatile under the radar player is forced to play in the post at times.
Josephs is the key to the Firebirds success.Jalen Scott PG 6’3 2021 Paradise Honors
-Top passing bigger junior PG in the class. He sees all his teammates at all times and is great getting downhill. He has a good burst into the lane and uses his length and height to score it vs the the post players. His pull-up is improved and collects steals with his active hands.
Nate Pickens CG 6’1 2022 Paradise Honors
-Big time shot maker had a 19 point game in his 1st game back of the season from his transfer. He can make plays for others with good court vision but is mostly looking to get his pretty shot up. He has a smooth looking jumper from the 3pt line and can pull-up off the dribble seemingly anytime he wants. He has a knack for getting to the foul line and getting easy points. Adding Pickens gives PHHS just another weapon to being the favorite in 3A.
Wyatt Bell CG 6’0 2021 Paradise Honors
-Sweet shooting stroke from the combo guard. He is very consistent off the catch from the perimeter. He smartly gets to his spots he wants to and can pull-up off the dribble. He makes good reads like a PG would and uses his IQ on both sides of the floor.
Luke Grawer PG 6’2 2020 Pinnacle
-Cerebral pure PG who can shoot off the catch from the 3pt line. He can get into the lane with decent size and finish through contact as well with his left or right hand. Good defender as he is strong and quick to keep opponents in front of him.
Jalin Humphrey PG 5’11 2022 Chaparral
-Super quick pure PG plays as their 6th man. He played an extended amount of time due to senior PG getting injured and he looked good in relief. He can hit the 3pt shot plus is a quick on-ball defender. He will still have his growing pains of being the true PG for an older team but the talent is clearly there.
Ahamed Mohamed PG 5’9 2022 Apollo
-Quickest kid in the gym. Plays football and has that toughness that smaller guards need to have. He is very skilled from the perimeter and gets into the lane with his tight handle and fast first step with a real burst. Shoots it consistently from the 3pt line off the catch and has a nice pull-up off the dribble.
Jaden Alexander SF 6’4 2021 St Patrick St Vincent (CA)
-A physical wing who likes the contact in the lane. He has a good build/frame and rebounds well in his area. He can euro his way to the cup and has some counter moves and hesitations to work his way into the lane. He is a decent perimeter shooter and gets to the line.
Dishon Jackson C 6’10 2020 St. Patrick St. Vincent (CA)
-Massive kid with great length. Gobbles up all balls inside and blocks or alters many shots. He has a nice touch on his shooting with a good right hand hook shot inside. He moves well up the court.
