Last week Rowland Hall stepped up their schedule and played against Judge Memorial who recently beat 5A Highland High School. Although The Winged Lions (Rowland Hall) lost by 12 they did get a great performance from Oscar Percy their 6’7 senior that poured in 29 points and hauled in 8 rebounds. Rowland Hall’s other key player Isaiah Adams had 12 and 10. With an 0-1 record Rowland Hall looks to bounce back against ICS.
Intermountain Christian on the other hand is 2-0 averaging around 97 points per game. The difference is they opened up against Real Salt Lake Academy that is in their inaugural year. They scored a whopping 111 points to their 25. Brayden Stoddard the 5’10 senior looked great in the win as he scored 42 points and hit 7 three-pointers. C6’7 Calen Koski looked great in the win as well as he put up 29 points. Jarod Ferkin scored 36 in their 2nd game as Caleb Koski sat out. Brayden had another solid game with 28 and AJ Owen had a solid all around game as well.
With a healthy Caleb Koski it will be interesting to see how he does against Adams and Percy the two Rowland Hall bigs. ICS has better all-around guards but this will be the first true test of ICS’ early season.
If ICS is able to hit 10+ three-pointers they will have the advantage. Rowland Hall can’t get in an up and down game with ICS. Either way there is some talented players to watch tonight.
