Tanner Morris – 6’1 – 2022
Morris was fundamental to Shawnee’s big win over Ada. The guard had four 3 pointers in the first half, one of which coming at the halftime buzzer. Morris displayed a high basketball IQ and smart decision making, allowing him to be the primary playmaker in the first half.
Joe Maytubby – 6’4 – 2021
Maytubby used every ounce of his strength with purpose, every single play. He crashed the boards hard and if he put a hand on the ball you could be sure he was going to hold on. The hustle points Maytubby worked hard for earned his team this statement win.
Kaden Cooper – 6’3 – 2022
Cooper’s length and aggressiveness made him a key component of Ada’s gameplan. He was able to get great looks around the rim and pull in key rebounds that kept Ada in the game. Look for the young guard to grow and develop his game throughout the year.
Jaxson Robinson – 6’5 – 2021
Robinson shut down the “overrated” chants from the Shawnee student section with 16 points in the first half. The lanky guard ran the point for Ada and did a good job of taking care of the ball. His excellent shooting didn’t skip a beat as he knocked down 4 threes in the first half as well as a game-tying three from about 4 feet behind the arc in the third quarter.
J’Briell Easley – 6’3 – 2020
This guard showed great athleticism and a very controlled and composed game. Contributing what was probably the turning point in Shawnee’s victory, a huge baseline drive and dunk that gave his team all momentum, Easley’s role as a leader will be key to Shawnee’s success.
