Jonathan Cosme – KIPP Denver Collegiate – 6’4” Forward/Guard
Cosme is a 5A player at a 3A school. This 2x Player of the Game has a double-double in every game this season. He was on the 2018-2019 All-State Honorable Mention list. Jonathan is an extremely versatile player who can play as a Forward, as well as a true Point Guard. This young man has all of the intangibles, giving him elite potential.
Austin Valdez – Ponderosa High School – 6’4” – Shooting Guard
Austin is a consistent shooter from within and beyond the perimeter. So far, he is shooting 81% from the free-throw line. Valdez is a hustle player with great defensive awareness. His size gives him the ability to disrupt passing lanes, something he does about as well as he shoots free-throws.
Taylor Kline – Arvada West High School – 6’0” – Shooting Guard
Kline is absolutely clutch from three. He is a high-motor type of player who is unafraid of charging the rim to fight for defensive rebounds. On offense, he knows how to find openings in the defense in order to take advantage of the slightest of weaknesses.
Ethan Henderson – Monarch High School – 6’5” – Power Forward
This young man is the type of player that every team needs. Ethan is a competitor that knows how to use his size at the rim. He has the ability to comfortably pull up and shoot in high pressured moments. A team-first type of young man that wants to compete.
Tydarrien Bostic – Arvada High School – 5’10” – Guard
An easy player to underestimate, until he makes you regret it. Tydarrien is a Point Guard that has the quickness to keep defenses on their heels. He is an absolute shooter, especially from the three-point range. He is a tenacious defender with great form and high energy. Bostic is also athletic enough to score above the rim.
Jesus Garcia – KIPP Denver Collegiate – 6’2” – Guard/Forward
So far this season, Garcia has been named Player of the Game four times. He has the size and skill to create a lane and drive to the hole. He also has the ability to exploit openings within defenses as a legitimate shooter with range. Jesus is a determined defender who creates turnovers and wins rebounds.
Gabe McDevitt – Ponderosa High School – 6’2” – Guard
Gabe is a high energy player who can drive to the rim with precision. He can also sink accurate shots from almost anywhere. He has great awareness when on the court which makes him just as effective on defense as he is on offense. McDevitt knows how to be in the right place at the right time, especially when hitting three-point shots.
Israel Brewer – Arvada West High School – 6’3” – Power Forward
Brewer is an amazing player when on defense. His focus and quick movements make him a tough defender to get around. His size and technique are what makes him so successful at getting boards. Israel’s game is one that simply flows smoothly with everything around him. Add his ability to create scoring opportunities for himself at the rim and he quietly becomes one of the better-skilled players on the court.
Owen Koonce – Centaurus High School – 6’5” – Power Forward
This 2018-2019 All-State Honorable mention player is averaging 17 points and 7.6 rebounds a game. He is also shooting 72% from the free-throw line this season. Whenever Owen is on the court, it is as if his team gains a giant boost of energy due to his infectious work ethic. Owen’s name may be more known than others, it just deserves a lot more respect than what’s been given.
