No. 3 Lawrence North battles No.4 Jeffersonville
Tonight saw a classic matchup of two of 4A’s top five teams. It was a game that went down to the wire, went into OT, and delivered. The end result saw Lawrence North pickup the win against Jeff 61-59 off a DJ Hughes (10 points, 6 rebounds) dunk to win it. Tony Perkins was the Wildcats leading scorer as he dropped 11 points and also had 7 rebounds. This was arguably the best game so far this season and one should have not expected anything less. Both of these squads should still remain as one of the elite teams in 4A.
Sincere McMahon has monster game.
Sincere McMahon is one of the top 2020 players in the state. The Western Illinois commit had a fantastic night of scoring as he dropped 37 and lead his team Crispus Attucks to beat Tri-West 101-79. This was a really good game on both ends and Crispus Attucks showed that they should not be overlooked in 4A this year. McMahon is looking to end his high school career the best way he can and dropping 37 points tonight will be one of his highlights. Keep an eye on Cripus Attucks for the rest of this season.
Franciscan Health Classic
The Cougars of Bloomington North were able to complete an upset tonight by knocking off No.12 Center Grove tonight 71-61. Jeremiah Blair continued his monster season tonight by having a double-double adding 17 points and 11 rebounds. Prospects Nick Klaiber and Tim Brewster each had 15 points as well. On Center Grove’s side, 2021 prospect Landin Hacker had a great night dropping 27 points and his teammate, 2022 prospect Tayven Jackson, added 12 points. Bloomington North is starting to make a case as one of the more underrated teams in 4A.
