Prep Hoops Kansas released its most recently updated 2021 class rankings this week and the updated list features several players who have been mainstays in the rankings, as well as several players who have moved up the list.
Here Prep Hoops takes a look at several players who have raised their profile and moved up the Prep Hoops’ 2021 rankings.
Jake Wolff, 6’2 G, 2021, Blue Valley
52 to 28
Wolff is a skilled player who impressed this summer with Mokan as he showed spectators an improved overall gamel. He makes noise as a defender and scorer and can connect from a distance and the mid-range area. He plays strong and looks to body his way to the basket and can even rebound well for his size.
Devon Junghans 5’10 G Salina South
32 to 29
One of the hardest working guards you’ll find in the 2021 class. Junghans is a tough defensive minded player who runs the floor exceptionally well and is terrific attacking the basket. He knows how to get to the free throw line and the basket and his 3-point range has improved. He is physical on defense and was a strong leader for SSA Elite Black 16U over the summer.
Tanner Hecht, 6’5, G, 2021, Wamego
50 to 43
A nice combo player who has good size and an ability to make plays in a variety of ways. Hecht is easily one of the smartest players on the floor at any given time as he can make smart plays with the ball in his hands on the perimeter as well as down low. Also an underrated passer with good vision and overall awareness.
Nick Hogan, 6’5, G/F, Eisenhower
54 to 44
Also a standout QB prospect, Hogan averaged 12.3 points, eight rebounds and made 43 3-pointers last season. Hogan is a smooth outside shooter and likes to put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket. He has the ability to get around opponents and looks to make plays around the basket.
Quinten Mason, 6’0, G, 2021, Olathe North
56 to 45
A knock down shooter, capable of finding his stroke and putting up big numbers when he’s confident and looking to score. He plays well off the ball and finds creases in the defense to get open, but can also handle the ball a little as well. He’s an athletic guard as well and he uses his athleticism and understanding at a high level.
