Here, we take a look at the players ranked 11 through 15 in the Class of 2020 in Prep Hoops’ latest update.
No. | Name | HT | POS | School | Summer Team | Commitment |
16 | Easton Hunter | 6’3 | G | Andale | NLHA
17 | Shawn Warrior | 6’4 | G/F | Campus | Pray N Play
18 | Steele Chapman | 6’1 | PG | Campus | Pray N Play
19 | Thomas King | 6’5 | G | Campus | NLHA
20 | Harper Jonas | 6’4 | G/F | Andover | NLHA |
16 Easton Hunter, 6’3, G, 2020, Andale
Hunter is a strong player who has the size, strength and speed to stay on the move and make plays inside and on the perimeter. He can play with and without the ball and can score using floaters, jump shots and from a distance.
Why the ranking?
Hunter continued to impress this summer with NLHA as he looked to shoot quickly and score often. He’s added some strength to his build and is more aggressive as a defensive player, rebounder and wing option.
17 Shawn Warrior, 6’4 G/F, Campus
A talented guard who can shoot from distance and drive to the hoop and score over a defender. He has good speed and the handles to find separation and knowledge and experience to avoid problem areas of the floor.
Why the ranking?
Warrior continues to show he can make plays in one-on-one situations. He is great in a system, and performed well for Pray N Play over the summer, but has the ability to go off script and take advantage of matchups inside and with his mid-range step-back.
18 Steele Chapman, 6’1, PG Campus
A nice rhythm point guard for Campus and Pray N Play who can handle it, shoot it, rebound over taller players and lock down opponents in full court situations. Chapman can do a bit of everything on the floor.
Why the ranking?
Chapman has established himself as one of the state’s top lead guards in the senior class and his play over the summer reflects that. He has terrific speed and quickness with the ball, has good vision and looks to set up his teammates or score when he’s open. Chapman holds an offer from Friends and Southwestern College.
19 Thomas King, 6’5, G/F Campus
An athletic wing player who can do a little bit of everything well, King is an interesting prospect who can finish around the basket in a variety of ways. He has some bounce, make plays in transition and can play a variety of positions well.
Why the ranking?
King had a productive summer rolling with NLHA knocking down shots from a distance, attacking the basket and finishing plays above the rim. King has always been aggressive, but he’s added strength and muscle to his frame and showed improvement in his ball handling and finishing ability.
20 Harper Jonas, 6’4, G/F Andover
One of Kansas most versatile wing players in the 2020 class, Jonas has a big, athletic frame and a well-rounded skill set which helps him finish plays in traffic. Jonas can defend multiple positions, is a solid rebounder and moves well off the ball.
Why the ranking?
He is coming off a strong summer running with NLHA 17U squad and is poised for a big senior season. He has improved his overall game and is finishing plays and making a name for himself as an inside-outside threat on both sides of the floor. He recently picked up an offer from Nebraska Wesleyan.
