Top 6-10
6 Fontaine Williams Jr. 6’1 G Wichita East
An impressive guard with speed, all-around athleticism and the ability to score and get those around him open looks on the floor.
Why the ranking?
Williams showed a lot of maturity in his game and control as a lead guard. He also looked strong as a scorer both from a distance and in transition.
7 Ahjany Lee, 6’7, F, 2022, St. Mary’s, 2022, KC Run GMC 15U
Lee has terrific length, an emerging skill set and nice agility and athleticism. He is a versatile defender who works hard on the glass and is a strong rebounder.
Why the ranking?
He shows a nice upside and can get good looks inside and out. He was a strong rebounder and shows a versatility to his game on both ends.
8 Julian Margrave, 6’6, G/F, Louisburg
A breakout player who showed good length and all-around skills who can knock down shots and handle the ball well for a player his size.
Why the ranking?
After running with a talented KC Run GMC 15U squad this offseason, Musgrave shows improvement with his inside play and overall shooting.
9 Cooper Jackson, 6’0, PG, St. Thomas Aquinas
An excellent point guard who has a strong all-around game on both sides of the floor. A playmaker who runs hard and can determine the outcome of a game.
Why the ranking?
Jackson showed terrific leadership qualities and a seasoned feel to him rare for players his age. Jackson also shows potential as a scoring threat and defensive skills.
10 Damar’e Smith, 6’0, PG, 2022, Shawnee Mission Northwest, KC Run GMC 15U
An elusive guard with speed, quickness on the ball and an explosive nature all-around. Smith has solid handles and can score well in a variety of ways.
Why the ranking?
One of the quicker players on the floor at any given time, Smith showed improvement in his control and is looking to score from 3-point range.
