This year, Johnathan Jackson has left for Texas, Jaydin Richardson plans to enroll early at Kansas to play football for the Jayhawks and Ty Berry, of Newton, plans to stay in-state but play at Sunrise Christian.
Here, we take a look at the top five players in the Class of 2020 in Prep Hoops’ latest update.

1. Ty Berry, 6’2, PG, Sunrise Christian, RUN GMC
Berry plays bigger than his 6’3 height would suggest and has the ability to create shots from all areas of the floor – knocking down jump shots, deep 3-pointers and absorbing contact and finish plays above the rim.
Why the ranking?
He’s coming off a strong summer with KC RUN GMC where he showcased his playmaking ability and overall skills with the ball. An elite prospect who was nearly unguardable with the ball in his hands. Berry has signed to play at Northwestern.
2. KT Raimey, 6’3, G, Olathe North, MoKan Elite
An elite guard with a terrific bounce and the ability to get to the basket and throw down dunks over opponents. He has great ball-handling skills and can connect from a distance or the mid-range area.
Why the ranking?
Raimey checks in at our 2 spot after a strong summer rolling with MoKan Elite. He showcased an electricity to his game and proved he can perform and score against the top players in the nation.
3. Xavier Bell, 6’4, G, Andover Central
One of the state’s top two-sport players as he also excels on the football field where he has drawn some Division I interest, Bell is a strong point guard who can attack the basket, score in the lane and connect from deep.
Why the ranking?
He averaged a team-high 20.4 ppg, 6.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists last season and continued his trend of strong overall play over the summer with KC RUN GMC. He holds several college offers in basketball, including Central Connecticut, SEMO and Denver, and has picked up recent PWO from Kansas State and Oklahoma.
4. Gavyn Elkamil, 6’4, G, Pittsburg
An intelligent player with a well-rounded skill-set and the ability to make plays off the dribble, pull up and score or go inside and finish at the rim.
Why the ranking?
He has terrific height and showcased his potential over the summer with MO Team Carroll. A skilled, creative player on the rise. Elkamil will be attending Link Year Prep in Branson, MO and will be reclassifying to the 2021 class.
5. King Sutton, 6’6, G/F, Topeka, Kansas Hoggs
An excellent athlete who looks to put the ball on the floor and get to the basket. Sutton can make plays inside and out and shows a high ceiling in his all-around game and build.
Why the ranking?
Sutton made a terrific jump over the summer playing with the Kansas Hoggs. His physicality is hard to miss and his athleticism, defense and explosive play in transition make him the top riser in his class.
