Here, we take a look at the players ranked 6 through 10 in the Class of 2020 in Prep Hoops’ latest update.

6 Ky Thomas, 6’0, G, 2020, Topeka
A tough-as-nails guard who outworks and outplays his opponents using physicality and speed. Thomas is an elite athlete on the court but has committed to play football at Minnesota.
Why the ranking?
One of the top guards in the state, Thomas shows up in every game on both ends of the floor. He handles the guard duties with ease and can get to the basket and finish or knock down 3-pointers from a distance.
7 Davonshai Harden, 6’4, G/F, 2020,Topeka
A three star football prospect who has committed to play quarterback for the Kansas University. Harden brings a nice combination of strength and speed to the floor and has good awareness and a lot of hustle to the floor.
Why the ranking?
Harden’s physical tools make him special and he adds vision and strength to the floor. An inside-out player who can see time in a variety of positions and makes plays across the board on both sides of the floor.
8 Markell Hood, 6’5, G/F, 2020, Blue Valley Northwest
An impressive prospect when he’s locked in and looking to make an impact. He has great size and a wide, muscular frame. Hood has a good bounce to his game and he can get up and score and block shots around the rim.
Why the ranking?
Hood is one of the hardest players to slow down when he’s focused and looking to score. He has the ability to score around the basket and can get around players and overpower them with his strength. He is a versatile, well-rounded defensive player who brings a jack-of-all trades attitude to the floor. He currently holds an offer from Central Connecticut University.
9 Jordan Vincent, 6’3 G Eisenhower
An excellent guard with good size and a well-rounded offensive skill set, Vincent is a strong defensive player who uses his length to get in the passing lanes and looks to create transition plays for himself and his teammates.
Why the ranking?
Vincent has earned a reputation as one of the state’s top returning guards after averaging 24.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game last season. He is coming off a strong summer playing with KC RUN GMC and recently committed to play at Emporia State.
10 Mayson Quartlebaum, 6’5, G/F, 2020, Lawrence
A big forward who has good hands for his position and can also score from distance. He handles the ball well for his position and can extend plays with his outside shooting.
Why the ranking?
Like King Sutton, Quartlebaum is a big offseason riser in the rankings. Quartlebaum had a strong summer and proved he can score quickly and efficiently. He also brings a lot of tools to the floor and makes plays that can go overlooked. He recently committed to NCAA Division I program Kennesaw State.
