Last year as a Junior, Munsee was a huge part of his teams success averaging 20.8 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 4.7 apg. He was named Conference Defensive Player of the Year, and made the First Team All-State team.
This year Lighthouse Christian is of to a 3-3 start. Part of the reason for the .500 start is because they are missing Munsee. “I had an injury in football that has sidelined me so far in basketball. I am hoping to make it back if everything goes right.” Most of the Lions core team is back from last year, but it is hard to replace the numbers Munsee provides.
Growing up Munsee has played AAU basketball with Cache Valley Elite for the past 3 years. Playing for one of the top grassroots teams in the region has provided Munsee with many opportunities. “It has put me in situations where I could get better and the competition pushed me to be the best I can be. Winning games and getting better from playing great competition from bigger cities is a great benefit.”

I can also create my own shot or catch and shoot.” Munsee works with his high school head coach Tony Standlee, and assistant coaches, Daequon Montreal & Nurudeen Adepoju who played professional basketball, along with Travis Bukner to help him improve his game.
“I love basketball because of the flow of the game. There’s always counter moves to moves and I love that you can do anything.” Basketball has taught Munsee a lot over the years. “It has put me at the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, it has prepared me for things in life because that’s just how life goes.” It has also provided some great memories like, “Winning our first conference championship and state championship after going 26-0.”
Hopefully Munsee is able to heal quickly from his football injury and return soon and help the Lions defend their state championship, and fulfill his goal of playing basketball at the next level.”I am hoping to comeback and make a difference towards the end of the season. I have been in contact with a few schools, just looking for a right fit to be able to play as a freshman and make an impact on the team.”
