This year Parker is leading his team to an early 2-1 start with wins over Viewmont and Murray. In a game that Riverton was in full control at Murray but gave up the lead Parker didn’t panic in a scramble as time was expiring. He took the ball and ran to the bottom right corner and put up a shot that was nothing but net to lift his team over Murray.
That patience and calm demeanor that he is displaying is impressive. In the past 4 years he has learned how to play the right way. “I’ve learned how to take angles and know how to get my shot off.
Although Parker isn’t always the quickest person on the court he finds ways to score and he is averaging 15 points per game to go along with 4 rebounds.
This off-season Parker put a lot of time into moving without the basketball and setting himself up coming off of screens.
Parker thinks his team has a shot at region because his teammates don’t quit. He hopes to make a deep run into the playoffs.
At 6’3 Parker can shoot over guards. His patience is something else to watch on film as he waits for defenses to make mistakes. He defends the ball well and rebounds.
