As a high academic prospect Jake has is being recruited by numerous high academic institutions. His consistency in the classroom has impacted his play on the court.
Woods Cross is off to a 5-1 start and is likely to go 7-1 before they head to their out of state tournament the Surf and Turf Slam.
Jake is putting up 13 points per game, 3 rebounds and 2 assist per game. The state that doesn’t always show up in the stat sheet is his improved defensive ability. Jake is often given the task to defend the other teams best player.
The reason Jake is a great college prospect doesn’t only have to do with his grades but with his ability to shoot the ball. He comes off of screens very well. His feet are set and he is always in a position to put pressure on the defense. His range has improved as he can move beyond the arc and hit those long three-pointers.
Jake worked on his mid-range game all Spring and Summer. He also has tapped into his driving ability. This year Jake can finish above the rim as well. His strength to finish through contact is underrated.
Jake currently has offers from:
Green River College
Scottsdale College
Everette College
Caroll University
Southwest Oregon Community College
Jake has a great opportunity to help lead his team to a possible deep playoff run.
