Player of the Week: Week 3
Christmas is here and we’re about to turn the page to 2020 but first we need to highlight some top performers of the week for this past week! Here are the nominees for the week:
Keith Robinson, DeSales – The freshman had a big week for the Colts. Tuesday, Keith had 15 points and 7 rebounds in a win against Bullitt East. In a win over Manual, he had 16 points and 7 rebounds. Saturday he had 21 points in a loss to Seneca then that night had 21 more in a win against Glasgow.
Isaiah May, Johnson Central – May helped JC to a 2-1 finish at the Smoky Mountain Classic. He had 32 points and 6 rebounds in a loss to Union (VA), 32 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Oneida Baptist Institute and 23 points and 6 rebounds in a win over Bell County.
Travis Perry, Lyon County – The 8th grader led the Lions to 2 wins for the week. Perry had 29 points, 8 assists and 3 rebounds in a win over Union County then 31 points and 7 rebounds and 6 assists in a win over Trigg County.
Justin Powell, North Oldham – Justin put together a monster week at the King of the Bluegrass (with the championship game coming tonight). In the win over Bardstown, Justin had 24 points, 9 assists and 7 rebounds. Against Fairdale, Powell went for 21 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. Against Male, he put up 25 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists.
Sam Conley, Spencer County – The Junior scored 28 points and pulled down 6 rebounds in a win against Bullitt East and then followed that with 18 points and 6 rebounds in a win over Conner on Saturday.
Luke Imfeld, Boyle County – The Rebels went 2-1 for the week and the Sophomore had 17 points and 7 rebounds in a win against Rockcastle County, 4 points and 9 rebounds in a loss to East Jessamine then 19 points and 9 rebounds in a win over Lexington Christian.
Jaden Rogers, Fern Creek – The Tigers played 5 games on the week, going 4-1. Rogers had 19 points and 9 rebounds in a win over Whitefield Academy, 7 points in a win over Valley, 20 points and 2 rebounds in a win over Central, 34 points in a win over Jeffersontown then finished the week with 13 points in a loss to Seneca.
Wade Pelfrey, Hazard – Hazard only played one game this week but they won and Wade had 27 points and 7 rebounds for the Bulldogs.
