Bryce Hopkins (Fenwick)
Hopkins lit up Westinghouse in their second game of the season going for 44 points. The Louisville commit is one of the top juniors in the state and showed out in week 1!
Jeffery Oakley (Perspectives)
Oakley emerged this summer on the circuit with Team M.O.R.E. and is off to a hot start to his junior season including an outing of 42 points and 12 rebounds against Eisenhower.
Christian Shumate (Bloom)
One of state’s top unsigned seniors shined in his first week with his new team. That included a 24 point, 14 rebound, 5 assist, and 4 block performance against Thornwood.
Tevin Smith (Danville)
It is great to see this standout junior back on the floor after an injury before grassroots season. He had 29 points and 9 boards against Champaign Centennial!
Jayden Johnson (Batavia)
Johnson is going to put up insane numbers this year. The elite shooter and unsigned senior had a career high 42 points on Friday.
Dominic Martinelli (Glenbrook South)
Martinelli will carry Glenbrook South this year and he did it the first week scoring 51 points in a win over Buffalo Grove.
Noah Franklin (Cobden)
This southern Illinois junior sleeper is a point forward that scores, passes, and boards. He went for 30 points and 17 rebounds for the Appleknockers!
