This is not a Ranking! This is only a list of players who are on our radar for rankings in the coming months. Here’s the 2023 Prep Hoops Kentucky Watchlist. They are presented in no particular order.
Reed Sheppard, North Laurel – High scoring guard is a second year starter for the Jags
Colin Porter, Ashland – Porter had started at Elliott County before moving to Ashland.
Dallas Roberts, North Oldham – Another 2 year starter, Roberts does a little bit of everything for the Mustangs.
Kaleb Glenn, Male – The Man-child is averaging a double double so far this season.
Trey Skaggs, Madison Central – Highly skilled wing forward could be the next great player for Coach Feldhaus
Ryan Davidson, North Laurel – He gets less publicity than Sheppard but Davidson is making a big impact already.
Jack Edelen, Ballard – Edelen is a steady hand at PG for the Bruins.
Zach Watterson, Lee County – Already forced to be the man on his team, Watterson is averaging almost 30 PPG.
Gabe Sisk, Ballard – Another freshman starting for Ballard, Sisk has a long Bruin career ahead of him.
Kenyon Goodin, Butler – A high IQ guard with great size, Goodin has a chance to be really good.
Jaylen Davis, Madison Central – Long and athletic, Davis has as much long term potential as anyone in the class.
Jacob Meyer, Holy Cross (Covington) – An underrated athlete, Meyer can score at a high level.
Samuel Parrish, Tates Creek – Capable of playing on or off the ball, Sam was MVP of the KBC Freshman event.
Bradin Nelson, Webster County – A standout at WKU team camp this summer, Nelson has potential as a combo guard.
Ian Higdon, North Oldham – Great length and size for a freshman, if he can develop wing skills, he’ll be a difference maker.
Cole Burch, Daviess County – Another long wing, Burch was a standout at the PH 250 Expo back in August.
Kenyatta Carbon, Owensboro – Possibly the next great guard from Owensboro, Carbon has a high ceiling.
Isaiah Cook, Eastern – A really impressive PG prospect, Cook is part of a loaded younger group at Eastern.
Jack McCune, McCracken County – Playing a smaller role on a veteran McCracken team, McCune could be the next Jackson Sivills.
Tramane Alcorn, Lincoln County – A versatile playmaker, Alcorn has a bright future
Zamareon McCown, PRP – One of the few freshmen seeing meaningful minutes in Louisville, McCown is averaging double figures.
Keith Robinson, DeSales – One of the stars of the KBC freshman camp, Robinson is having a big freshman season.
Aydan Hamilton, Campbell County – Off to a huge start to his career, Hamilton is wired to score.
There are definitely going to be players missed on this list but many of the top players are listed here and others will certainly develop and pass the others over the next 4 years.
