Here are this week’s Class B Rankings
Hillsboro/Central Valley
The No.1 team in the state, Hillsboro/Central Valley beat a top team in Kindred by 17 to start the year. Carson Henningsgard scored 30 points in that game and is arguably the best player in Class B.
Four Winds/Minnewaukan
The top team in a lot of places, Four Winds/Minnewaukan gets the No. 2 spot here and looks every bit a state title contender. The Indians beat Beulah to start the year and will be tested throughout the year against excellent teams.
Richland
The top returning state tournament team from a year ago, the Colts opened the year with a blowout win over Sargent Central and an impressive win over Aberdeen Roncalli in Jamestown. Richland will face Hillsboro/Central Valley next week in one of the best early-season games of the year.
Rugby
The Panthers opened the year in impressive fashion, beating Dunseith and New Rockford-Sheyenne to win the CNDC Tournament.
Shiloh Christian
The Skyhawks are breaking in a lot of new varsity players, but they keep winning in the process. Jaden Mitzel has been terrific to start the year as the team has wins over Dickinson Trinity and Bishop Ryan.
Kindred
The Vikings started the year with losses to a solid Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton team and the No. 1 ranked team, Hillsboro. But Kindred responded last week with a blowout win over Northern Cass. Kindred is a top-10 team in Class B without doubt.
Beulah
The Miners opened the year with a loss to Four Winds/Minnewaukan but rebounded with a win over a good Oak Grove team Saturday.
Enderlin
Enderlin is off to a great start this year, opening the year with an excellent win over Hatton/Northwood before picking up blowout wins over Lisbon and Glen Ullin/Hebron this past week.
New Rockford-Sheyenne
The Rockets lost in contested fashion to Rugby in the CNDC championship game but picked up wins over St. John and TGU plus have a blowout win over Carrington in their season-opener.
Langdon/Edmore/Munich
LEM is another quality team out of Region 4 and the Cardinals are off to a really nice start, going 3-0 with wins over Thompson, Midway/Minto and North Border. They’ll get tough tests over the holiday break as they play in the Hoopster and Dan Brown Classics.
