Here are this week’s Class A Rankings
Jamestown
The Bluejays continue their roll with another perfect week, beating Bismarck Legacy and Turtle Mountain. The win over the Sabers is particularly impressive as it was done without all-state guard Boden Skunberg. The Bluejays are much more than a one-man outfit.
Fargo Davies
The Eagles continued to cruise, beating Grand Forks Red River by 23 before ending the week with a 51-point shellacking of Valley City. The Eagles have excellent depth and are getting terrific play from a number of guys.
West Fargo Sheyenne
The Mustangs continue to impress, beating Valley City by 53 early in the week before dominating in a 65-45 win over West Fargo. Blake Berg is off to a phenomenal start and the Mustangs’ defense has been excellent.
Dickinson
The Midgets move up with a number of higher-ranked teams losing this week. Dickinson beat Watford City by 36 and now get an extended break before the schedule heats up after the new year.
Minot
The Magicians picked up two wins last week, including a win over a ranked Bismarck Legacy squad. Minot beat Bismarck St. Mary’s by 20 earlier in the week and are averaging more than 80 points per game.
Bismarck Legacy
The Sabers lost to top-ranked Jamestown on Tuesday and then Minot on Friday. Legacy still looks like a really solid squad though and a contender for a top-four spot in the WDA.
Bismarck Century
The Patriots took a tough loss to Turtle Mountain early last week but rebounded with wins over Williston and Watford City.
Grand Forks Red River
The Roughriders have taken losses to the two best teams in the EDC plus a very good Moorhead team, but the Roughriders have a quality win over West Fargo.
Mandan
The Braves aren’t fully healthy at this point in the year, but the young guys are contributing to help keep things afloat. Jayce Lowman and Dontae Maloney were particularly good in the team’s win over Bismarck St. Mary’s and if Elijah Klein and Jaxton Wiest aren’t at 100 percent, those guys will need to continue playing well.
Fargo Shanley
The Deacons took a loss to Fargo North on Thursday but rebounded with an excellent win over Devils Lake Friday. Fargo Shanley looks like a team that could compete in that second tier of the EDC.
